FORT WAYNE UNITED TEAMS RISE TO THE TOP

We are proud to announce that Fort Wayne United FC tied for the MOST STATE CUP CHAMPIONS in Indiana during the Indiana Soccer Cup tournament last weekend at Grand Park (Westfield, IN).  After an exciting weekend of preliminary games two weeks prior, an impressive 16 teams from Fort Wayne United FC advanced in the Cup Series (Challenge Cup, President’s Cup and State Cup) to the finals weekend, June 1st & 2nd.  On Saturday, seven of those teams secured their spot in the championship game on Sunday, with FIVE teams winning it all!

Indiana State Cup and Indiana President’s Cup are part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series. State Cup Champions advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series Midwest Regionals which will be held in Saginaw, MI (June 21st – 25th). President’s Cup Champions advance to the US Youth Soccer Midwest Region Presidents Cup which will be held June 14th – 17th in Kansas City. Champions from either Midwest Regional event will advance to National Finals.

Congratulations to ALL our teams who participated this past weekend. Fort Wayne United players did a fantastic job of representing their club and the city of Fort Wayne! Winning teams will continue to train hard during the next couple of weeks as they prepare to compete for the title of MIDWEST REGION CHAMPION.
